I have been making coloured, printed etchings (prints) and monotypes(prints) since leaving Leeds Metropolitan University and Bradford University in England in 1999 where I specialized in printmaking. I work as artist printmaker using copper and zinc plates and a traditional press in my studio near Perpignan, Roussillon in France printing abstract coloured etchings and monotypes for exhibition and commission. These abstract coloured prints are all ‘unique’ as no two prints are the same.
- A wide range of coloured printing inks are used to achieve these rich toned abstract prints by building up layers of inks using the traditional printmaking method.
These abstract coloured prints are based on the landscape where I live and work near Perpignan, Roussillon, France. The abstract images are a reflection of an artist’s observation of the bright, reflected light reverberating on organic plant forms juxtaposed with the intense, dark shadows present in the structure of the earth. The etchings reflect the use of a rich palette of coloured inks which are overprinted several times, built up to achieve intensity and translucence.

One day printmaking courses are offered run by a professional printmaker in the artist's studio in Villemolaque near Perpignan in France. These courses are suitable for students, beginners and artists who wish to discover different
printmaking techniques. Courses are run in English and French. Students can choose from a range of techniques offered, listed below. A maximum of three students can attend a daily session at a time.
